Automatic day night switch circuit diagram

Image
Automatic Day Night Switch Circuit Diagram In today’s world, energy saving and automation are among the top priorities. One of the simplest and most practical solutions is an Automatic Day Night Switch , which turns electrical loads (like street lights, garden lights, or lamps) ON at night and OFF during the day —all without human intervention. The diagram above shows a basic day-night switch circuit using an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) , DIAC , TRIAC , resistors, and a capacitor. Let’s break down how it works. Components Used LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) – Acts as a light sensor. Its resistance decreases with light and increases in darkness. R1 (470kΩ) – A variable resistor (potentiometer) used for sensitivity adjustment. R2 (360kΩ) – A fixed resistor that helps in controlling the charging of the capacitor. C1 (3.3nF) – Capacitor for timing and triggering purposes. DIAC – A semiconductor device that helps trigger the TRIAC when a certain voltage is reached. TRIA...

Speaker

Description of Speaker Speaker is an electro-mechanical device, which converts electrical signals into sound waves. It is also commonly called loudspeaker. Working principle The working principle of the speaker is based on electromagnetic induction. When electric current flows in the speaker's coil, it generates a magnetic field. This field interacts with the permanent magnet and moves the voice coil back and forth. Due to this movement, the diaphragm or cone vibrates and sound is produced. Main parts Diaphragm/Cone - The main part to generate sound waves. Voice Coil - Converts electric current into magnetic force. Magnet - Reacts with the coil and generates vibration. Frame/Basket - Supports all the parts.  Terminals – To connect the speaker to the power source. Types Woofer: For deep and heavy sound (Low Frequency). Tweeter: For high and sharp sound (High Frequency). Mid-range: For medium frequency sounds. Sub-woofer: For extremely deep bass sounds. Uses Speakers are used i...
